Meg’s words and pessimistic attitude lay heavy on his heart, but he refused to be discouraged, instead pondering something over. Once he reaches a conclusion, he snaps his fingers, perking right up. “Hey, I know! Why don’t we go somewhere to eat? That always puts me in a better mood, so maybe it’ll do the same for you!”

“Mmm, must be nice living on Mars,” the Grecian ironically deadpanned, completely shutting out all traces of the hybrid’s “incessant droning”. Government schmovernment…as if politics and the Army truly mattered to somebody as uninspired as her.

[ ;Cold, violet eyes openly rolled themselves (for the umpteenth time, probably) upon witnessing Luffy conjure up some sort of newfound realization…and of course, they rolled themselves yet again after perceiving and actually hearing what he was intent on suggesting. ]

“Pass,” she dismissed, not even bothering to engender a tangible reason for declining his offer…though Meg had to admit: the fact that he was trying so hard did account for something (but not enough).
